Scholarship Guidelines
It is scholarship application time again. Grace Mennonite Church has 3 endowed scholarships available to eligible members of Grace Mennonite Church, the Grace Mennonite Scholarship, the Student Aid Fund, and the Martha Hilty Nursing Fund. The guidelines for each are listed below. Application forms are also available at the church. Forms need to be returned to Jon Hilty by February 21, 2010.
The Grace Mennonite Scholarship Fund
With sincere appreciation, Grace Mennonite Church acknowledges the receipt of a $25,000 donation by Dr. and Mrs. L. C. Kraft in memory of her mother Elizabeth Amstutz. From this initial donation this scholarship was formed. It is our desire to use this money wisely for Gods kingdom and for the good of Grace Mennonite Church.
This scholarship grant-in-aid is given to students attending Mennonite colleges, universities, and seminaries, or people involved in Mennonite service projects. In each year, the funds available will be equally awarded to eligible applicants. We will strive to provide at least $1,000 scholarship per year to each applicant but, typically, not to exceed $2,000 per year.
Student Aid Scholarship Fund
With sincere appreciation, Grace Mennonite Church acknowledges the receipt of a donation from Lillian Steiner. From this initial donation the student aid fund was established.
This scholarship grant-in-aid is given to eligible students attending any accredited college, university, or institution of higher learning. From the funds available, awards will be made equally to all eligible applicants each year.
Martha Hilty Nursing Scholarship Fund
This scholarship grant-in-aid is given to eligible students attending certified colleges, accredited technical schools, or hospitals to obtain their degree as a registered nurse or higher nursing degree. From the funds available, awards will be made equally to all eligible applicants each year.
